How to take down Geno in Fortnite Chapter 7, season 4

There are quite a few missions you have to complete in Geno’s quest series in Fortnite, and one of the toughest ones asks you to take him down. It’s quite a daunting task, especially since you’re not told where to find him or how to take him on in battle.

Geno’s quite a formidable guy, but facing him is a must if you want to work through this key storyline series. If you’re struggling to get going on this task or unsure what needs to be done to complete it, here’s how to take down Geno in Fortnite.

You can find Geno right in the middle of the Fortnite island after starting Geno’s story quests. Geno is located east of Green Hill Zone, north of Stone Sanctum, west of Reality’s Reign, and south of The Battlewoods.

The POI he’s technically closest to is Reality’s Reign, but the center of the island isn’t really part of any named location, so focus on finding the heart of the island instead of trying to venture to a marked spot to pinpoint it. Geno is hovering up in the sky inside a red bubble, so once you’re at the right location, make sure you look up to spot him.

Although the quest specifically asks you to take him out in battle, you actually cannot take Geno down. As soon as you try, Geno will eliminate you, which means there’s no way to defeat him.

To actually get this quest done, you need to find Geno, attack him, die, load into a new match, and land on the island. As soon as you land on the island in the next round after being killed by Geno, the mission will be marked as complete even though you didn’t really take down Geno. Choose anywhere around the island to drop from the battle bus to check it off.

Since Geno will kill you when you attempt to fight him, make sure you don’t have any rare Sprites, like the Klombo Sprite, the Crown Sprite, or the X-Ray Sprite, on you when facing him. The round ends as soon as you strike him, so wrap up anything you want to have done before facing him.

Anytime to revist the central area on the island, you’ll still find Geno hanging out in the same spot where you left him. And any time you attempt to attack him, he’ll smite you again, so avoid doing so unless you’re prepared to be vanquished.
