Faith is easily one of the most important resources in Graveyard Keeper 2 and is used to unlock Inspirations, advance the story, and research. However, early on, players will have no idea how to gain Faith, and in fact, it is impossible until a few early quests have been completed. Eventually, the Keeper will meet a nun who instructs him to restore the local temple and start preaching. Performing Mass each week is how Faith is earned in Graveyard Keeper 2, and there are ways to maximize these Faith gains, such as by adding splendor to the temple.
Before players can start earning Faith, they will need to complete a few early quests, all of which simply include crafting materials or goods at home and delivering them to certain characters.
Speak to the merchant in the village if you haven't already been given the quests involving Jack and the twins.
In return for the armor and sword handed out during the game's tutorial, Jack will ask the player to bring him some materials in order to build a boat. He will ask for these in two separate quests, so players can come prepared and bring everything at the same time to save themselves an extra trip.
The goods he asks for are as follows:
You'll need to research the relevant unlocks in the Tech Tree; these being Woodworking I and Bronze Works.
As well as helping to build the ship, players will need to convince the twins to row it. The twins are first mentioned when the merchant tells the Keeper to get a fishing rod from them. However, the twins, who can be found over the bridge in the south of the village, will only hand this over if the player makes 5 Clay Plates for them.
Doing this and delivering the plates will help you convince them to row the boat.
