Following on from the Legend of Zelda 40th anniversary Nintendo Direct, which gave us a look at the Ocarina of Time remake, Nintendo has now revealed even more games coming to the Switch 2 this winter.
The Nintendo Direct aired on September 9, 2026, showing off everything from Metroid Ravenous to a new Switch Sports Resort and the first fully open-world Kirby title.

Back in June, Capcom confirmed Monster Hunter Wilds was coming to Switch 2, months after the game had already settled onto PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
Well, today’s Direct finally broke the months-long silence. Monster Hunter Wilds comes to Nintendo Switch 2 on December 4, 2026, while the Ascendance expansion gets its own 2027 window.
Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII Reunion, the 2022 remaster of a 2007 PSP prequel, quietly lands on Switch 2’s eShop later today. Meanwhile, Final Fantasy VII Revelation, the trilogy’s closing chapter, will release on April 8, 2027.
Age of Calamity has always been the odd one out when it comes to Switch ports, but it’s the game fans remember fondly despite a rockier framerate than its sister titles. Today’s appearance on the Nintendo Direct finally gives it the same Definitive treatment, and a new harder difficulty called Calamity Mode debuts alongside it.
