Iconic LEGO Vehicle Finally Getting UCS Treatment in August 2027

Anakin Skywalker's Jedi Interceptor is reportedly getting its first Ultimate Collector Series (UCS) LEGO Star Wars set in August 2027. The ship has appeared in multiple brick-built models since 2005, but none have previously been part of LEGO's flagship UCS line.

The exact Star Wars spacecraft in question is Anakin's Eta-2 Jedi Interceptor, a compact starfighter-class ship that he flies during the Battle of Coruscant in Episode 3: Revenge of the Sith. The Eta-2 is distinct from the earlier Delta-7 family of Jedi starfighters, including the Delta-7B that Anakin used in the hit seven-season animated series Star Wars: The Clone Wars.

According to LEGO leaker BuggyLeaks, the Danish toymaker's long-awaited UCS rendition of the iconic Eta-2 spacecraft will carry product number 75484 and simply be called Anakin's Jedi Interceptor. The model is said to be planned for an August 2027 launch and carry an 18+ recommended age rating, as is usually the case with UCS sets catering to adult LEGO builders looking for a challenge.

75484 may not be the only set based on Anakin's starfighter to hit the market next year. LEGO is also rumored to be working on a much smaller rendition of the Eta-2, carrying product number 75464, with a modest piece count of 160. Simply called Anakin Skywalker's Jedi Starfighter, set 75464 was first identified in a substantial leak outlining LEGO's purported Star Wars lineup for January 2027.

The Danish company has so far released eight LEGO sets containing versions of Anakin's Eta-2, based on seven distinct Interceptor builds. The run began in 2005 with 6966 Mini Jedi Starfighter and 7256 Jedi Starfighter and Vulture Droid, before 7283 Ultimate Space Battle reused the same yellow Anakin Interceptor build from 7256 as part of a notably larger scene. Subsequent Eta-2 renditions followed in 2012, twice in 2014, 2019, and 2020.

None of those previous Anakin Eta-2 LEGO sets belonged to the Ultimate Collector Series. The reported 75484 model would therefore add another Prequel-era spacecraft to the ranks of iconic LEGO Star Wars sets to receive collector-focused treatment, although it would not be the first UCS Jedi starfighter overall. That distinction belongs to 10215 Obi-Wan's Jedi Starfighter, a 676-piece Delta-7 model released in 2010. Since the Delta-7 and Eta-2 are different spacecraft, 75484 would still be the first UCS Eta-2 and the first UCS starfighter belonging to Anakin if the leak proves accurate.

The August 2027 release window reported by BuggyLeaks seems more plausible given that LEGO's last full-size Anakin Eta-2 set, 75281 Anakin's Jedi Interceptor, also launched in August 2020. In related news, recent insider reports suggest LEGO is planning several other UCS-series Star Wars sets for 2027, including a TIE Advanced prototype starfighter and a new Millennium Falcon replica reportedly scheduled for May and October, respectively. The apparent increase in collector-oriented sets based on the iconic space opera is likely related to the fact that 2027 is the 50th anniversary year of Star Wars. Releasing three UCS sets in a single year would also not be unprecedented, as LEGO did the same in 2025.
