Famitsu has published its estimated physical game software data for Japan for the week of August 24, 2026 to August 30, 2026.
Elden Ring Tarnished Edition for Switch 2 was the highest selling new release, debuting at 27,604 retail copies sold.
Metal Gear Solid: Master Collection Vol. 2 followed, debuting at 12,691 units on PlayStation 5, 8,624 units on Switch 2, and 5,590 units on Switch for an opening week total of 26,905 retail copies sold.
On the hardware side, Switch 2 sold 22,265 units, the Switch family sold 8,847 units, the PlayStation 5 family sold 7,351 units, and the Xbox Series family sold 298 units.
Rankings 11 to 30 will be announced on September 4.
