Shrines are a valuable tool in The Blood of Dawnwalker as they allow you to unlock new skills, access your storage, and most importantly, fast travel. As you begin to explore the full extent of Vale Sangora, walking everywhere, even with haste abilities, can become tedious.
However, Brencis has unfortunately ordered that the shrines be destroyed, so soldiers have begun stealing the idols, or hearts, that allow them to function. To restore these damaged Shrines and use them for all the reasons previously mentioned, you'll need to find the missing heart for each one and return it.
Once you stumble upon a damaged shrine, you'll need to inspect it to trigger the corresponding quest. When the quest is active, you will almost always see footprints with Focus Mode. Follow them to the heart's location, which is typically a camp or a wild animal you will need to fight.
In some cases, the soldiers will be actively destroying the shrine when you approach, and all you need to do is kill them and loot the heart from them. Regardless, if all else fails, use Focus Mode to determine where the heart is or who may have it on them.
Nearly every Shrine restoration will cost you one time segment, so keep that in mind if you have any quests with specific times or deadlines in progress.
Loot the idol from bandits at a camp nearby.
Stop the soldiers from destroying the shrine.
Find the thieves and deal with the wolves.
