If you want to dye armor in The Witcher 3, then you're going to need to know what gear can be dyed, how you can dye it, and all Dye Formula locations so you can make any of the 12 different dye colors without a vendor. We'll share everything you need to know about dye in The Witcher 3, but remember, this will only be available to those who own Blood and Wine!
Dyes can only be applied to Witcher School gear, meaning you'll have to equip either the Ursine, Feline, Griffin, Wolven, or Manticore sets. Once you have the dye color you like, head to your Armor Inventory and select the dye, then equip it to any of your gear pieces!
Dyes can be purchased from the Dye Merchant at the Beauclair Port in Toussaint. However, this merchant won't sell every dye (like Black and White). Therefore, you're going to have to do a bit of hunting if you want to find the formula for each dye, which we'll showcase below along with their map locations and ingredients:
