With the cool Tides of Terraria update in Palworld, the total number of available Pals has now surpassed 150. While some Pals are easy to find and appear in abundance across various regions, others only spawn in very specific locations. Many of the newly added Pals are tied to the update’s biggest addition: the fishing mechanic.
A significant number of Water-type Pals were introduced alongside this system, and Jellroy is one of them. Closely resembling Jelliette, this adorable jellyfish Pal is one you won’t want to miss. If you're looking to catch Jellroy, this guide will show you where to find it.
Updated on August 23, 2026 by Gabrielle Castania: Now that we're well into the full launch version of Palworld, we're back to update some of our early access guides to relfect new information.
Though originally a late-game Pal, things have changed a lot for Jellroy in the full 1.0 version of Palworld, since now it can be caught outside of just the fishing mechanic in the overworld.
The map on the habitat page for Jellroy in the Palpedia is alight with spots you can find Jellroy in Palworld 1.0, including along the beaches of most coastal areas of Palpagos. If it looks on the map like the location might look out to sea, you'd do well to check! You can find Jellroy on the beaches of the following areas at night:
Since Jellroy is a Water/Dark-type Pal, Electric and Dragon types are most effective against it.
Jellroy Drop: While in party, increases items obtained by salvaging by 55%. Additionally, while Jelliette and Jellroy are both in your base, Jellroy's Watering speed increases by 50%. (Does not stack, but Jelliette also sees the same Watering speed boost.)
One of the best early-game ways to find Jellroy in Palworld is hatching a Damp Egg, which can be found in the wild or created through breeding specific Pal combinations at the Breeding Farm. Any combination that produces a Damp Egg will make for a good choice in parents, but we've got suggestions below.
