Some of this is undoubtedly down to the fact that the game remains the most recent mainline release in the series, with only Elder Scrolls Online and Oblivion Remastered since. One of the biggest levers keeping Skyrim alive is its modding community. A new mod named King of the Murkmire has been released on Nexus Mods by creator pancake0723, taking players to Black Marsh for an all-new adventure. The quest mod features five main quests, four side quests, and four miscellaneous quests, all of which are voiced with over 1,000 lines of unique dialogue. The creator also boasts "15+ new creatures," as well as the ability to explore Ayleid Ruins, Hist dungeons, Argonian villages, and the regional capital, Lilmoth.

This Skyrim new land mod is "not designed to be easy," and the creator says players who don't come leveled and with cure disease will "get torn apart" and "succumb to deadly infections" quickly. To start Skyrim: King of the Murkmire, players should head to the Solitude Docks and find the Lady Padomay ship.
