Two Grand Theft Auto 6 DualSense controllers have been announced.
Revealed during State of Play, the controllers feature the palm tree motif that has been used across GTA 6’s marketing, as well as large VI Roman numerals on the touchpad. A black and a white version of the controller will be released.
The center of the controllers will feature a purple pearlescent material. According to the PlayStation Blog, the two controllers are supposed to represent the daytime and the nightlife of Vice City.
“The black and white limited-edition DualSense wireless controllers each capture the essence of Vice City, from bright days along the coast to vibrant city nights,” it said.
“Both editions feature a shimmering, color-shifting finish that brings together the hues of a Vice City sunset and the glow of neon lights. They both also feature custom palm tree details molded directly into the controller, adding a unique tactile element alongside official Grand Theft Auto VI branding.”
Both GTA 6 limited-edition DualSense wireless controllers will launch on November 19 for $84.99 USD/ ¥12,480 (including tax) / €84.99/ £74.99. Pre-orders start September 10 at 10:00 am local time. Both controllers will be available via PlayStation Direct in regions where the service is available.
Outside of PlayStation Direct, it appears each controller will then be available at traditional retailers, though PlayStation has yet to confirm which retailers will carry the limited-edition DualSense controllers.
This is the latest in a long line of limited-edition controllers for Sony‘s console. While some have been instant successes like the first run of Astro Bot controller, which sold out in days, others have remained in stock for a long time. Perhaps the most infamous limited edition DualSense was the one produced for Sony’s ill-fated Concord, which has since become a collector’s item.
