After a pretty successful run with update 0.4 Spearhead, Madfinger Games has finally unveiled the full list of toys coming to Gray Zone Warfare in update 0.5, which is set to be one of the most transformative updates in the game since its 2024 launch.
The update is set to go live on October 22, but until then, you can ogle at the new weapons that will be added, including one of my favorite rifles of all time.
The Spearhead update, released this Spring, brought seven new guns to the party, including Vietnam-era staples like the M14 and M16A1. Now, Americans will have to take a backseat, because Rogue Ops focuses on some European classics that have made their name on battlefields across the world.
Many underground characters have added auto sears to their Glock 17 to turn it into a makeshift automatic weapon, but that kind of crude modification is not required when you can just buy a Glock 18C in Lamang.
Introduced in 1987, the Glock 18 resembles the Glock 17 externally and is chambered in 9x19mm, but with the addition of a fire selector switch that lets it rip out 1200 rounds per minute. The G18C model we're getting has compensator slots in the slide and barrel, which marginally improve control in automatic fire.
In spite of its full-auto capabilities, the Glock 18 is still a sidearm at the end of the day, so don't count on it outperforming PMC Pete with an AK outside close quarters. The lack of video demonstrating it is because it lacks in cool factor compared to the other weapons.
