Summer closes out with a big industry event.
Mr. Keighley’s Opening Night Live from gamescom kicks off on Aug. 25 and will run for two hours, showcasing some upcoming games that we know about, and hopefully dropping some surprises about stuff in the works.
So far, Keighley has confirmed the appearance of several games during the showcase, and some of them are coming soon:
But with two hours of show time, there’s sure to be some hidden reveals along the way, and that’s where the hype truly lies. Follow along below for a liveblog recap of all of the announcements out of the show today.
The gamescom ONL pre-show kicks off at 12:30pm CT, with the real show beginning 30 minutes later. Updates are to follow.
The pre-show hosted by Kyle Bosman kicked things off with a new Worms strategic tactics game, and the end of the trailer confirmed another new Worms game is in development.
Trains! Trains? Yeah, trains, and a whole lot of them. The new game in the locomotive sim franchise is coming out on Sept. 15.
Speaking of sim games…Roller Coaster Tycoon is back! It’s coming soon to Steam early access, and looks like it captures the essence of the original games really well.
