The Black Clover anime is officially making a comeback on October 3, 2026, with its new season. This second anime season is going to be incredibly exciting, with majestic battles for Asta and other characters to come, and, at the same time, exciting plotlines to unfold. All the exciting developments of the Spade Kingdom Raid arc in the manga mean that fans all over the world know that the upcoming release of Black Clover Season 2 is going to be filled with thrilling clashes over 24 episodes.
On top of these clashes being animated, an official Black Clover staff member, Isuta Meister, has confirmed to us that the anime will not only bring to life all the exciting battles in Yuki Tabata's manga but also add tremendously to them in the form of new, never-before-seen content.
For an anime series to expand upon the manga doesn't come as a surprise to any fan. When it comes to Studio Pierrot in particular, their recent strategy has seen them work closely with the author of the respective anime series and, under their guidance, expand upon the manga material tremendously, sometimes even taking creative liberties by changing the flow of the battles completely. The best example of that would be Bleach's Thousand Year Blood War arc, which has not only expanded upon multiple battles by adding never-before-seen scenes but also completely changed several plotlines, such as the one pertaining to Orihime recently in the anime.
Studio Pierrot's next biggest project is Black Clover Season 2, and it appears that this approach is going to be taken here as well. Yuki Tabata has previously stated that he has had some input on Black Clover Season 2, which means that it is highly likely that the anime staff has consulted him for the expansion of various plot points. On September 15, 2026, Isuta Meister, who is one of the most important staff members when it comes to Black Clover anime, officially confirmed to us that Black Clover Season 2 will include a ton of exciting action that has never been seen even in the manga. The anime staff will pour their all into the series to improve the work and make the fights even better than before.

Black Clover Season 2 is likely going to give us a far better look at some of the most exciting battles that unfolded in the manga during the Spade Kingdom Raid arc. This means additional fighting content for our main characters Asta, Yuno, and Noelle, but also for the other side characters that oftentimes get pushed to the side. As such, this is great news for all fans of Black Clover all over the world, and we hope that this trend continues all throughout season 2 and into the adaptation of the final arc as well.
One of the biggest flaws of the original Black Clover manga by Yuki Tabata was a lack of characterization for multiple side characters, and at the same time, rushed battles. This was largely due to Yuki Tabata's worsening health. Working in Shueisha's Weekly Shonen Jump is certainly not easy, and doing it for almost a decade is even harder. Yuki Tabata's health suffered tremendously towards the end of Black Clover, and because of that, quite a lot of characters got pushed to the side, and some battles were wrapped up quicker than fans would have expected. This left a sour taste in the mouths of many fans. Now, the Black Clover anime is going to fix this, as confirmed by the official staff of the anime, and that is something that brings immense excitement to us.
The fact that Yuki Tabata has worked closely with Studio Pierrot further solidifies the fact that these changes are likely to be canon additions to the story, which elevates the plot even further.
