Star Wars Jedi: Survivor has been out for more than three years now, with the wait for a full-blown reveal of Star Wars Jedi 3 dragging on, but a new release will at least bide time until the proper threequel for some. Befitting the Dark Times era, Cal Kestis' journey takes him through a galaxy where the Empire is still firmly in control, and the game's Imperial forces are given plenty of visual variety. Some are familiar Stormtrooper variants, while others are built around specific combat roles that make them stand out in Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order and Star Wars Jedi: Survivor.
The Imperial threat also plays an important role in making Star Wars Jedi: Survivor feel larger than Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order. Cal isn't simply fighting the same basic enemies throughout his journey, with the sequel introducing new types of Stormtroopers, as well as more sinister figures within the Empire, alongside its expanded worlds and combat options. Those designs have become part of Star Wars Jedi: Survivor's identity, even as attention has increasingly shifted toward whatever comes next for Cal (Respawn has not yet provided details on the next game).
Star Wars Collectors now have a new way to bring one of those Star Wars Jedi: Survivor designs out of the game and onto a shelf. Hot Toys' sixth-scale Jetpack Trooper figure is available through Sideshow for $270, with the release limited to 2,000 units. Sideshow has also set a 1-per-person purchase limit, with the figure now shipping for those who order (some waits are possible). Overall, while it's for a very specific type of Star Wars Jedi: Survivor fan, it's a strong figure that fits how Respawn approached the Empire.

The figure stands approximately 30 centimeters tall and features 30 points of articulation, along with weathered white armor and a newly crafted helmeted head. Hot Toys includes seven interchangeable gloved hands, an E-11 blaster rifle, a white utility belt, boots, and the black undersuit worn underneath the armor. The worn-down appearance is designed to match the version of the Jetpack Trooper seen in Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, giving it a more battle-worn look than a standard Stormtrooper figure. For those perhaps curious, Star Wars Jedi: Survivor's Rick the Door Technician is a standard scout trooper (fun fact).
Of course, the jetpack itself is the centerpiece of the release. It attaches magnetically to the figure and includes translucent exhaust flame effects, while additional tubes can be connected to the jetpack or the breathing device on the chest plate. The accessories also include a thermal detonator that can be attached to the utility belt and a specially designed Star Wars display stand, giving collectors several pieces to recreate the Jetpack Trooper's appearance from Star Wars Jedi: Survivor.

The $270 price puts the Star Wars Jedi: Survivor Jetpack Trooper firmly into premium collector territory, and the limited production run means it is not being positioned as a mass-market figure. Hot Toys is also releasing it at a time when Star Wars Jedi: Survivor remains the most recent chapter of Cal Kestis' story, making the figure a particularly notable piece for fans of the series. With only 2,000 units planned, collectors interested in adding the Imperial variant to their Star Wars shelves can currently order it through Sideshow.
