The Blood Of Dawnwalker has been making some fairly massive waves on the internet since it was released early this September. Despite releasing only a bit over a week ago, however, Dawnwalker already has a thriving modding community that has put out some impressive projects so far.
Although the developers behind The Blood Of Dawnwalker are already looking ahead towards its future sequel, some fans have added entirely new ways to experience the vampire-themed open-world RPG, this time alongside a friend.
As noted by AshenOne_VI on X, The Blood of Dawnwalker is getting its own fan-made co-op mode thanks to NexusMods user MrSecondPlayer's Dawnwalker Together creation, which allows you to explore its open world and fight various monsters alongside a friend through split-screen.
Although the mod is currently in fairly early access and lacks many of the features you would expect from a full-blown multiplayer mode or a long-lived co-op creation like the ever-popular Witcher 3 multiplayer mod, it's still an incredibly impressive proof of concept.
Letting you explore its gorgeous environments, attack enemies, and even progress the story while in multiplayer, each player has near full control as an independent player in a way that doesn't seem possible for how fast it was made.
Despite the impressive technical achievement behind Dawnwalker Together's creation, the creator and early players who have tried the mod do note that there are several limitations with the current build, with some of the most notable being the following:
Thankfully, the creator has promised that they're already working to alleviate some of these issues in future builds, and will provide updates on the ambitious multiplayer mod for The Blood of Dawnwalker as it gets closer to a more seamless playable state.
