Control Resonant is finally here, and Remedy has already been responding to feedback and putting the finishing touches on what is already a very polished and remarkable game. However, there are a few things that Control Resonant is desperately crying out for, such as one of those amazingly in-depth photo modes like we've seen in Alan Wake 2.
Thankfully, developer Remedy Entertainment has now released a new blog post detailing all the game's initial post-launch plans going forward, explaining what's to come to the game for the rest of the year. Yes, photo mode is part of those plans.
In the blog post, Remedy thanks everyone that's been supporting the game and those that have already jumped in, and then starts discussing exactly what's coming to Control Resonant in the next few months. While the game already has a pretty nifty New Game + feature, Remedy reveals that a New Game ++ feature will be added at some point next month.
This will allow players to complete as many runs of the game as you want, letting you carry over all of your collected abilities and powers for more challenging playthroughs. It's a nice little addition that gives the game endless replayability if someone wants it.
Next up, Remedy talks about the much-needed Photo Mode that the studio has been "cooking for a while." It explains that it wasn't able to launch Photo Mode alongside the game as it was too busy making sure it was in tip-top condition for launch, but it does finally reveal that Photo Mode will be coming at some point in November.
