Popular streamer TimTheTatman has revealed he turned down a six-figure offer to play Arc Raiders because he’s become so disenchanted with the game.
Arc Raiders launched at the end of 2025 to rave reviews and a huge player count, becoming one of the biggest success stories of the year. However, throughout 2026, the player count has steadily declined, as the devs decided to end regular updates in favor of larger content drops with longer gaps in between, with the first coming in October.
During this time, a number of high-profile streamers have also bounced off the extraction shooter. But while the likes of TheBurntPeanut returned recently for a Subway promotion, TimTheTatman has revealed that he refused a large offer to come back.
“I did say no to six figures with Arc Raiders, I did. I said, ‘no thank you,'” he explained during a recent stream. “I said I just can’t do it, I’m sorry. And then Dennis [Cloakzy] got it.”
Tim went on to explain that he turned down the offer because he didn’t want to be labelled a “sellout” after criticizing the game, and he ultimately lost any motivation to play.
“I’m more than happy to do hashtag ads. If that Arc Raiders deal was seven figures… ‘Hey boys, welcome back to Arc Raiders and Subway.’ 100% we’re going back,” he continued. “But for me that game frustrated me so much that I never want to play it ever again. Even to the point where six figures couldn’t get me back on it.”
