There are five treasures to find, and each one starts with an NPC who gives you an Old Drawing showing a rough picture of the location. Finding the exact spot can take some exploring. The Hidden Treasure quests are part of the Chance Encounter system in Onimusha. These are story-related side quests that begin when you meet certain NPCs. Once a Hidden Treasure quest is active, the NPC gives you an Old Drawing that acts as a clue to the treasure’s location.
The drawing usually shows a landmark, a building, or a particular part of the environment, with an X marking the spot. You will also receive an approximate map marker, but it is important to remember that this marker does not show the exact treasure location. It only narrows down the search area.
When you reach the correct place, use the Oni Vision to reveal the Hidden Treasure. The treasures are not always sitting in obvious chests, so if the drawing seems to point to a wall, rooftop, or small structure, inspect the surrounding area carefully.
Hidden Treasure No. is located near the Kiyomizu-zaka Slope Spirit Mirror. The X on the drawing is actually pointing toward a rooftop. If you search the streets below, you will not find anything useful. Instead, look for a nearby alley with a long ladder that leads up to a roof.
Climb the first ladder, then continue to the smaller ladder that takes you to the next rooftop. Once you reach the top, use the Oni Vision to reveal the Hidden Treasure.
The two ladders are the key to this treasure. If you have reached the first rooftop but cannot find the treasure, keep climbing rather than returning to the alley.
Hidden Treasure No. 2 treasure is found near the Yasaka Pagoda and its Spirit Mirror. The Old Drawing shows a ladder, a waterfall, and the pagoda. These details are enough to identify the location, but the picture itself is not particularly clear. The easiest way to narrow down the search is to zoom in on the map and look for nearby ladders.
