Joining the Five Nights at Freddy's animatronics on the Battle Royale map is none other than the OG Freddy, Freddy Krueger! While Freddy doesn't feature like the many Sprites recently added, he does appear as a boss fight in Nightmare Neighborhood, and he's not going to be easy to beat if you don't know how he works. Plus, Freddy's Nightmare is his loot, which is a powerful weapon you need to understand before you use it to try and win!
Freddy Krueger is always found in Nightmare Neighborhood, the POI just north of Green Hill Zone. You can find him quite easily by locating the red skull that appears on your minimap, but be warned: he's immediately hostile when he finds you, so you'll have to come prepared!
Freddy Krueger is a different boss fight from the rest because he will teleport to different players in the POI, even if they haven't aggravated him. Freddy will also copy the skin of the player he is targeting, but this won't be an issue, as he's still taller.
When Freddy finds you, he will trap you in a nightmare, which is actually more beneficial to you than it is for him. Players who are not within the radius of the nightmare cannot hurt you, and they will only see you as a shadow, which allows you to focus on Freddy! Be warned: he will constantly rush you, and his melee attacks deal 45 damage, so keep your distance.
When you defeat Freddy Krueger, you will get Freddy's Nightmare, which is his unique melee-focused glove.
Freddy's Nightmare deals 45 damage with each hit and has a 4-hit combo that's relatively fast, making it effective for close-range targets, but it might still be beaten by a skilled player who can hit consistent headshots with a shotgun.
What makes Freddy's Nightmare a great choice for your loadout is how LT/L2 will create a Nightmare Radius, and anyone inside the bubble is an easy target. If a player is in the Nightmare, you can press LT/L2 again to teleport behind them, allowing you to instantly start attacking them from behind before they can turn around!
