Nodding Heads Games has released a three-minute developer commentary gameplay video for 3D action adventure game sequel Raji: Kaliyuga as part of Tokyo Game Show 2026.
“The story picks up six years after the events of the first game when Mahabalasura prematurely unsealed the heavens, shattering the divine equilibrium and plunging all realms into endless war,” game director Avichal Singh explained in the video.
Singh continued, “Raji: Kaliyuga features dual protagonists, allowing players to embody both Raji, the warrior of faith, and Darsh, the dreamwalker. Characters switch based on story events and act as companions to one another.
“Raji employs acrobatic martial arts and wields the divine Trishul, while Darsh awakens to immense powers controlling Siddhis to manipulate gravity, time, and energy.
“Raji can utilize attacks of varying intensities using different combos. The Trishul can also push back enemies, resulting in a knockdown effect, which can be followed by quick executes. Whether it’s jumping off enemies for powerful attacks or flinging them up, Raji’s got quite the arsenal at her disposal.
“Darsh, on the other hand, likes to keep his distance since he primarily conjures and throws orbs. Enemies hit by his orbs attack with the current selected Siddhi. Upon fully tagging an enemy, yield the Siddhi and unleash a powerful attack that can affect all enemies nearby. Darsh can switch Siddhis at any time, and through the different combination of Siddhi tags, the player can utilize varied attacks. Some of the unique abilities summon high damage energy orbs, enemy-disabling gravity tornadoes, and even reality-bending abilities like summoning a black hole.
“When it comes to evading enemies, most games just have a dodge role. This is where Raji: Kaliyuga sets itself apart, as we crafted the customized evasion system for Raji and Darsh. Raji can perform side steps, flips, and dodge rolls. Darsj performs twirls and rolls. And all of them have their own unique follow-up attacks providing different utility.
“You’ll find plenty to explore in the game from fun platforming and puzzles to special abilities that really bring the two siblings together.”
