After ongoing rumours and even some ratings, Blizzard has finally lifted the lid on Diablo 4 for Switch 2 at BlizzCon 2026 this weekend.
Lilith and her army of demons will be unleashed on 15th September 2026 for $69.99 / £62.99. This version on Switch 2, titled Diablo IV: Age of Hatred Collection, also includes the expansion content Vessel of Hatred and Lord of Hatred.
Copies of the game are already appearing in-store in North America, and it's a code-in-box release. The eShop listing also notes how an internet connection and Battle.net account are required to play. Additionally, the software has online features (including cross-play) that require an active Nintendo Switch Online membership and a Nintendo Account.
This fourth main release in Blizzard's long-running series originally arrived on other platforms in 2023, with the base game focused on Lilith's coming as evil and hatred spreads across Sanctuary. Since launch, updates and expansion content have continued to evolve this action role-playing experience.
This latest entry on Nintendo's new hardware will follow the release of Diablo II: Resurrected in 2021 and Diablo III in 2018 during the Switch generation. Blizzard also announced Diablo 5 at BlizzCon today.
