The Minecraft Live - September 2026 show just wrapped, and it's been revealed the "first new dimension in over 14 years" is joining the Overworld, the Nether, and the End as the fourth dimension in the game.
The Sift was previously revealed for Minecraft Dungeons II, and Mojang has now confirmed it will be coming to Minecraft Bedrock (and the Java Edition) next year.
Once again, you'll be able to experience The Sift before this, when Minecraft Dungeons II arrives on the Switch 1 & 2 on 29th September 2026. As already confirmed, Minecraft will be coming to the Switch 2 next month on 27th October 2026. It's also getting a free upgrade path.
During the latest Minecraft Live event, Mojang also shared a first look at the upcoming game drop, adding Ice Caves - a new cave biome with icicles, light-emitting ice crystals, calcite, and a frozen zombie variant.
