Despite owning one of the most destructive and powerful Devil Fruits in the world, Kaido instead chose to rise up the ranks as a fighter by mostly relying on his incredible Haki, using which he was able to do some incredible things.
The common debate places Kaido and Luffy against one another, with many fans saying Luffy was only able to defeat him due to the villain's previous fights and lack of reprieve leading up to their final confrontation. With Gear 5, it can be stated that Luffy is a bit stronger, but Kaido's mastery of Haki was greater, since Luffy only managed to defeat him once he underwent his Devil Fruit Awakening.
In the world of One Piece, anyone who holds the title of World's Strongest Swordsman is undoubtedly one of the most fearsome characters of all time, since most pirates and fighters are swordsmen already. Mihawk's strength is so legendary that he sailed the seas without a crew and is considered to be the only true equal and rival that Shanks ever had.
Of course, Mihawk's combat prowess is seen even less than Shanks' own, but the fact that he owns such a coveted title, as well as the fact that he wields a Supreme Grade Black Blade, proves that Mihawk's mastery and skill with Haki simply can't be understated. While unconfirmed, most fans are convinced that Mihawk is a user of Advanced Conqueror's Haki as well.
