Among the many choices available in The Blood of Dawnwalker, there are two options to choose from in the Like Father, Like Son quest. You can either support the rebellion or oppose it, as you fear for your and your family's safety. Regardless of what you say here, though, the outcome of the story remains the same. So it doesn't matter what you say to Pieter.
After making Esme's medicine and going through a little sparring session with Pieter, he will sit down and speak to Coen. Pieter will mention that Vladimir talked to him about a rebellion. Vlad wants to take up arms against Brencis, and he invites Pieter to join the rebellion. Vladimir wants Pieter to lead the villagers to fight their way into the silver mines.
There are no effects or consequences to either choice in The Blood of Dawnwalker. That's because the story is already set, and so you can't convince Pieter to join or not to join the rebellion.
You can also say these two to get more context about the story, but generally, white choices don't move the dialogue branch forward:
Since your choice in the Like Father, Like Son quest has no effect on the story, your next line also doesn't matter:
Whether you choose to oppose your father or support whatever decision he makes, Pieter won't have any significant reaction, and he still won't have a change of heart regarding his decision.
This may make you wonder if choices in The Blood of Dawnwalker are always going to be insignificant. While a ton of choices have no consequences, there are a lot of choices that have small or large consequences. For example, your decision may decide if an NPC survives an event or not, or you can even decide the fate of the entire Vale Sangora.
You'll eventually get a good grasp of The Blood of Dawnwalker narrative, so you can easily see when your decision matters and when it has little to no consequences. It's all for you to discover after the Prologue.
