Grand Theft Auto fans have noticed that Lucia’s voice actress played a small role in GTA Online and GTA 5, and you probably interacted with her a lot.
With GTA 6 now just a few months away, Rockstar Games have slowly started ramping up their reveals. August 27 marked a big point in that, with an almost 30-minute look at gameplay going live on Netflix, showing off a whole host of gameplay features and better views of Vice City.
In the days since, fans have pored over all the new details and can’t wait for the Grand Theft Auto devs to deliver more – especially as a number of content creators were able to interview Rob Nelson.
Amongst the new details, fans have noticed that the woman apparently behind Lucia – Manni L. Perez – has appeared in Grand Theft Auto before.
It was flagged on social media by user Msolli, who showed that Perez voiced one of the blackjack dealers in GTA 5’s Diamond Casino.
A video of the NPC dealing to players has gotten more than 17 million views on X (formerly Twitter), as fans simply can’t believe they’d missed it. “Imagine auditioning for a random casino NPC and Rockstar liked you so much you become the main voice and face of GTA 6,” creator IcyVert said.
“Actually is sick knowing we secretly heard Lucia in GTA 5 before she was in GTA 6,” added another, with others calling it the “biggest upgrade,” for the voice actress.
