The new version of The Witcher 3 for Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S will be with us on Tuesday (September 29th) in the form of The Witcher 3 Remastered, and we've already got some raw Xbox gameplay to share!
As is often the case, the good folks at Fuzion Xbox Testing on YouTube have been quick off the draw with this footage, providing detailed early looks at both the Xbox Series X and Series S versions of The Witcher 3 Remastered.
On Xbox Series X, we can see that The Witcher 3 Remastered has Quality and Performance modes that appear to output at an upscaled 1800p. The game is described as "better looking than ever, but not to any extreme extent", while the performance seems to be an almost rock-solid 30FPS and 60FPS respectively.
The Xbox Series S version definitely looks worse, especially when it comes to the performance mode, although there's some debate that YouTube's compression is creating a false representation here. In any case, there are two modes that are upscaled to 1440p on Series S, and again they appear to be very consistent at 30FPS and 60FPS.
This is all obviously just early footage and we're going to have to see how the full update plays out on Tuesday — there may even be improvements as part of the update that goes live tomorrow — so just take this as an initial glimpse rather than definitive proof of what the final version will look like on Series X and Series S.
