Roughly 18 months after its release, Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 continues to routinely average 5K players on Steam, an absurd achievement for a single-player RPG that isn't even that long by the genre's standards. The battle system's depth has significantly extended the game's lifespan, and part of that comes from the vast weapon selection that supports different builds. Maelle's rapiers come with many elements, passives, and blind spots, and some are naturally far better than others.

While in Defensive Stance, receive Heal instead of Burn damage
Stalum leans into the burn playstyle that Maelle is so good at. A lot of her skills work around applying burns, and while the Defensive Stance may seem like a strange choice for offense at first, attacks like Rain of Fire can actually benefit from being a bit less aggressive.
