In the comic Halo: Initiation, it was revealed that Jun had not only escaped the fall of Reach by unknown means, but had actually returned to UNSC space and was promoted to be a high-ranking recruiter and trainer of the Spartan-IV program, going on to personally recruit ODSTs Sarah Palmer and Edward Buck into the program.

Johnson Academy of Military Science with assistance from Swords of Sanghelios forces.
