One of the biggest bombshells to come out of BlizzCon 2026 was the surprise announcement of a brand-new StarCraft game. While this StarCraft game left many details, aside from its 2030 release date, under wraps, Blizzard confirmed that it will forgo the series' traditional RTS gameplay in favor of an open-world shooter. However, the company has kept largely quiet about which platforms fans can expect the game to be released on until now.
As reported by Kotaku, Blizzard has announced that the upcoming StarCraft entry won't be exclusive to one particular platform. While the BlizzCon 2026 showcase initially revealed that StarCraft will be coming to Xbox, there was no solid confirmation that the game would make its way to other platforms. This latest statement from Blizzard confirms that Xbox won't be the only platform that StarCraft launches on in 2030, but the company hasn't said which other platforms will be included at release.
