DinoBones: Tidy Up the Museum is a first-person restoration Steam game built around identifying, collecting, and assembling thousands of scattered dinosaur bones.
Developed and published by Indie Souls Studio, DinoBones begins with a museum in complete disarray. Crates have been overturned, while skulls, ribs, vertebrae, and other bones are scattered throughout its halls, leaving the player responsible for rebuilding nine dinosaur skeletons. Every piece initially appears as "Unknown," so the core loop revolves around collecting loose bones, identifying which dinosaur they belong to, and placing them in the correct position on each exhibit. The game includes around 2,000 bones, while differences in color, texture, shape, and wear gradually help players learn to distinguish them. That makes DinoBones a much calmer alternative to recent dinosaur games on Steam that lean into horror and survival.
DinoBones: Tidy Up the Museum launched on Steam on September 25, 2026, and has already earned a "Very Positive" reception from players.
