After the announcement of The Witcher III: Wild Hunt Remastered for the Switch 2, you're no doubt itching to see what the game looks like on Nintendo's console.
Well, thanks to a listing on the Japanese eShop, we now have our first look at screenshots from the upcoming release, scheduled to land on 29th September 2027. Granted, we can't be certain of how it looks and runs until we see it in motion, but this should at least give us an idea of how much detail to expect.
So without further ado, here are the screenshots in question:
Even just from this small handful of shots, it's clear that the Remastered release will be a significant leap in visual quality compared to the original Switch version. That one was fine – impressive, even, given the console specs – but it looks like CD Projekt Red has really stepped up its game with the Switch 2.
And if you own The Witcher III on the Switch, you will be entitled to claim the Remastered version for absolutely nothing upon launch. Free pre-orders are available right now, in fact, for those eligible. This includes ownership of either the digital or physical versions.
