The next content update for World of Warcraft: Midnight is right around the corner, as Blizzard reveals what players can expect from Patch 12.1.5 once it arrives on Tuesday, October 13, following server maintenance. The upcoming World of Warcraft: Midnight patch is now accessible via the public test realm (PTR) for players to preview ahead of release.
The 12.1.5 update for World of Warcraft: Midnight will go live nine weeks after the launch of Patch 12.1, Curse of Ula'tek. The 12.1 update introduced The Coiled Isle, along with new quests and treasures for players to discover. Curse of Ula'tek also heralded Midnight's Season 2, which added a new pool of Mythic+ Dungeons and the Venomous Abyss raid. Patch 12.1's main campaign diverted from the expansion's core story to focus on the Amani trolls. This storyline will continue in Patch 12.1.5 via two of the patch's new features.
Alongside new campaign quests that will be available starting October 13, World of Warcraft Patch 12.1.5 will introduce a new one-boss raid called The Unbinding of Kith'ix, which will have multiple difficulties for players to pick from. The raid will serve as a bookend to the story arcs of Zul'Aman and Quel'thalas. Additionally, new Aqir Invasions will appear throughout Eversong Woods and Zul'Aman, which will come with affixes for players to overcome. Fans of World of Warcraft's Delve system are in luck, as Patch 12.1.5 will introduce a new type of Delve called a Labyrinth. Similar to mega-dungeons, a Labyrinth will be a much longer excursion with greater rewards to tempt players into combing its depths. The Labyrinth of Kindo'jan will be the first of these new mazes that players can tackle following the update.

Additionally, Patch 12.1.5 will introduce some class balance adjustments in response to player feedback. Some key adjustments to the Devourer Demon Hunter's spells should make Midnight's newest specialization easier to handle during movement-heavy fights. Despite the popularity of the Paladin class in World of Warcraft, it is not currently slated to receive any balance adjustments in Patch 12.1.5 as of this writing. However, the Paladin will receive new player race options in Midnight's Eclipse update, which will arrive at a later date.

World of Warcraft's 12.1.5 update will also come with some new cosmetics for players to collect. A new mount called the Fungal Strider will be available for a jaw-dropping 5 million gold, but will include access to NPCs that offer services such as transmogrification and the auction house. The Fungal Strider will be available in Harandar, though the mount will no longer be available for purchase once WoW's next expansion, The Last Titan, is released sometime in 2027. Ergo, interested players have only a few more months to save up enough gold to get the mount before it's too late.
