We’re halfway, folks, and you know what that means: A new league for patch 0.5.5 of Path of Exile 2, created in order to keep us busy until the huge 1.0 drop later on this year.
While this league isn’t going to be as massive and content-filled as the previous one, there are enough changes for you to get stuck in and re-level a new character or 2, or simply try a build that you haven’t played before. New challenges, a new economy, and lots of riches are up for grabs, so what are you waiting for?
Let’s take a look at some of the more impactful changes released in patch 0.5.5, so you can plan your route and get grinding!
This is a bit of a small one, but it will certainly help those who tend to struggle with some of the main bosses during the endgame portion of the League.
Now, many bosses, like the Arbiter of Ash and Divinity, Omniphobia and the Raven Trickster, no longer have a blanket elemental resistance. The resistances they offer now are more thematic. For example, the Arbiter of Ash will resist fire and be weak to cold, whereas the Arbiter of Divinity will resist Lightning and be weak to fire.
So if you’re really struggling with the Fortress, it might be worth looking at your build and weaving in some extra skills to address those weaknesses.
Of course, a new League brings fresh challenges, and like the previous one, these are no joke. It’s pretty well known that PoE2 is a pretty long game, and it’s hard for some people to know when to quit. Do you finish after the campaign, or after all the pinnacle bosses, or until you can afford a Mirror? Who knows?
