Valorant’s 13.06 patch is here, bringing the Warden as an all-new weapon, as well as some other big changes. Here’s what you need to know.
When Valorant has a pretty big update in the world, Riot Games will often tease what they’re working on. Sometimes, though, they just outright tell players what to expect in a new patch.
That has been the case with the 13.06 update, with Riot confirming that the Warden would be joining the mix as a brand-new rifle option. The rifle, which is a scoped alternative to the Vandal and Phantom, will cost 2900 credits, but it is a “stronger” aim-down-sight gun.
On top of the new gun, Riot also confirmed that a new game mode – Gauntlet: Glitched – would be added. The big twist with this is the fact that you are able to draft abilities from different Agents, creating unique combinations.
In this mode, eight teams of two players compete in a tournament-style round robin until only one team comes out on top.
However, it won’t just be about you and your duo’s gunskills. With different abilities combining, you may run into some problems and glitches that bite back, causing you to need to reconfigure things.
Amongst the other big changes in 13.06 is the fact that you can now use the Range while you wait for a matchmaking game to get underway.
If you’re waiting for your first game of the day, you can finally warm up while matchmaking does its thing.
