In the many decades since the Dragon Ball franchise began, fans have been treated to a multitude of series. From Goku's original journey to find the Dragon Balls to the main heroes reaching multiversal levels of power in Super, the adventures have continued to up the ante in every way possible.
One of the most controversial releases was GT, a non-canon, anime-only series of Dragon Ball that aired from 1996 to 1997 and was met with a largely negative reception. However, the Saiyans in this part of the franchise did have their chance to shine, with these select few proving to be immensely powerful.
In the final arc of Dragon Ball Z, Trunks and Goten were introduced as incredibly prodigious warriors who were able to achieve Super Saiyan at a very young age, which implied that their future as warriors was looking promising. However, neither really got to see what they were truly capable of in the GT timeline, as they didn't focus on training as much.
Trunks was better off than Goten, and his general role during the entire storyline of GT was substantial as he was made a part of the central trio alongside Goku and Pan. Though he really didn't battle much against the strongest enemies, Trunks still proved to be a driven fighter who showed up whenever he needed to.
At the end of the Buu Saga, the greatest evil in the universe had been defeated, and the Earth enjoyed 15 years of peace in the GT timeline. Because of this, most characters went on with their lives, with Gohan perhaps being the greatest example of this, so his outcome during this series is definitely an understandable one. However, it was still quite disappointing for many fans.
Despite this turnout and Gohan's focus on his domestic life, his strength is still quite exceptional, especially when using his Super Saiyan 2 and Ultimate forms. Though his presence in GT is very brief, he does hold his own against Super 17 and Syn Shenron somewhat, which shows that even after all this time, he's still got it.
Long before the Saiyan race met its doom, they took Planet Plant from its original inhabitants, the Tuffles, by force. Many decades down the line, the Tuffles would get their revenge through Baby, who did so by taking over Vegeta's body and using all of his incredible Saiyan genetics to become one of the strongest villains in all of GT.
In what many believe to be GT's best arc, Baby wreaks havoc on Earth in order to rebuild his extinct race on a new homeworld, and proves to be strong enough to defeat Goku's Super Saiyan 3 form, forcing him to unlock his iconic Super Saiyan 4 state. Even at the end, Baby's power was astronomical in his Golden Great Ape form, making him one of the strongest GT Saiyans.
