DrinkBox Studios has delayed Metroidvania action RPG Blighted from its previously planned fall 2026 release wind to 2027. It will be available for Switch 2 and PC via Steam.
“The team has been working hard (and growing!) but we feel we still need a bit more time to polish and tune the game before launch,” said DrinkBox Studios’ Josh Davis in a developer blog. “With this in mind, we’ve decided to shift our release to 2027. We appreciate your patience, and while we will have more news in the new year, we have one more really cool dev update before 2026 wraps that we think you’ll want to keep an eye out for.”
The game also also teased new looks at its level design as part of the developer blog, showcasing the Watcher’s Peak hub and more.
DrinkBox Studios will share more news on Blighted in 2027, with another developer update coming this winter.
