As you begin encountering monsters in Silent Hill Townfall, you'll realise that you're in short supply of wooden planks and boards, and even when you have one, they're not exactly killing machines. Thankfully, it won't be too long until you get your first gun in Silent Hill Townfall, and we'll share where you can pick up this gun and how lethal it can be, so you can feel safer knowing a ranged weapon will stop any threat in front of you.
There are minor spoilers involved, as we'll be showing you at what point in the game you can get your hands on a gun.
You will get your first gun in Silent Hill Townfall after you report to Dr. Glenn at the Medical Center in Part 2: Zoe. After you've successfully entered the Medical Center, a cutscene will play, and you'll return as Simon in the Clinic, from where you left off originally after completing the Scales puzzle.
Once you're playing as Simon again, leave the Clinic and head to the Town Square to find Richard's Gift. You will be asked whether or not you should open the box, and if you click "yes," you will be given the Pistol. However, this only comes with four bullets, so shoot only as an absolute last resort! You will find more ammo as you explore, but that doesn't mean you'll have an abundance of bullets.
Bullets will take two shots to the head to kill enemies, but be careful: shooting a gun will make a lot of noise, which may attract other enemies to the firing position.
