Even though the looming release of Grand Theft Auto 6 has been the primary focus of fans given the brutal 13-year wait since the release of its predecessor, Rockstar is clearly far from done with Grand Theft Auto 5 just yet. While recent heist updates and community content are great on their own, Rockstar's latest partnership is also bringing one of the most ambitious updates to GTA 5 since its inception.
Whether you're a PC player who won't be able to get your hands on the next entry in the franchise just yet or are simply more interested in the multiplayer side of the franchise rather than the single-player-only launch of GTA 6, Rockstar's latest partnership is drastically changing GTA Online's visuals, gameplay mechanics, and entire concept for a lucky few players.
Although we've known about the partnership for quite some time now, NoPixel V recently released a launch trailer showcasing all of the new features coming in the latest edition of the roleplay service with the official backing of Rockstar behind it.
While the trailer showed off several brief glimpses, concepts, and a few features players can expect in the full release, the NoPixel team recently put out a series of development updates that showcase exactly what you'll be able to experience when their servers go live. Even though the service will be exclusively available for streamers when it goes into closed beta, several of the biggest improvements are absolutely breathtaking.
Even though you can still tell NoPixel's servers are built using GTA 5 as a foundation upon closer inspection, the landscapes and environments have been changed so dramatically that it can be unrecognizable at times, with just a few of the improvements you can expect in the full release being the following features:
All of these improvements only go up to the fourth developer update posted on September 4th as well, with plenty of new features that will show off more of the technical or gameplay side of things being showcased in the coming days before NoPixel 5's launch on September 8.
While all of these updates sound like something you would expect to see in a new feature showcase for GTA 6, regular Grand Theft Auto 5 players won't be able to access all of these exciting new mechanics, as they are exclusively tied to the NoPixel 5 roleplay servers.
Although NoPixel 5 does plan to allow regular players into its beta tests and eventual full release, the whitelisted servers are still a highly coveted spot for many players and streamers alike, often costing plenty of time, dedication, and even money in order to get access to them.
