Renown is a Part 1 progression system in Fire Emblem: Fortune's Weave. Every path has 12 Renown ranks, and the most reliable way to raise them is to complete quests, check for new meetings with gods each week and engage with your protagonist's route-specific Renown activity.
The basic rules are shared across all four paths, but Cai, Theodora, Dietrich and Leda each have a different primary way to earn enough Renown to reach Rank 12.
Raising your Renown level unlocks new features and eventually awards additional rewards. The exact progression differs slightly between paths, but you can inspect the next unlocks while playing.
There is therefore little need to memorise a separate reward table for every protagonist. Check the visible Renown track whenever you gain a level, then concentrate on the activities that move it forward.
Renown only applies during Part 1. It is not a system you need to continue farming during the later parts of the game.
Three Renown sources are available regardless of which path you chose:
The smaller sources are worthwhile because they accumulate alongside your main objectives. You do not need to clear every possible encounter immediately, but ignoring them all can leave you short of the final ranks.
The weekly meetings are the easiest source to overlook. Open the map/fast-travel screen in Dagsion and look for locations marked by a small dot, which signals a god or goddess you can meet.
