Korean dev Shift Up showed off the Switch 2 version of Stellar Blade at the Tokyo Game Show last week, which I played and previewed for Nintendo Life.
(There’s a demo out now if you want to try it yourself, but the TL;DR is that it’s a decent port but a downgrade compared to the PS5 version.)
The good news for fans of the franchise is that free DLC will be released for all versions of the game on 5th November, adding five new costumes inspired by Platinum’s hit action game Bayonetta.
The outfits include: Bayonetta, Nun, Jeanne, and Black Tresses. You can see them all courtesy of the trailer embedded below.
During its stage show at TGS this weekend, Hyung-Tae Kim introduced the Bayonetta outfit with the help of Japanese cosplayer and model Seika Amakawa, as pictured.
Furthermore, in an interview with 4Gamer, the director said that the studio hasn’t finished updating the original game yet, and is planning “some changes” that will roll out alongside the release of the sequel, Stellar Blade: Blood Rain.
