An ominous new Critter is lurking around the village, and if you check off some key tasks, you can befriend it in Disney Dreamlight Valley. This creature is the Deep Dark Secret Goose, and unlocking them is tied to the massive Memory Mania event.
There’s no other Critter you can find in the valley quite like this one, so unlocking it is crucial if you want to obtain a pretty special new friend. The process is fairly tricky, though, so here’s how to get the Deep Dark Secret Goose in Disney Dreamlight Valley.
You can unlock the Deep Dark Secret Goose by completing a special Memory Mania event questline from Joy in DDV. This series of quests was added to the event upon its return in 2026, which means it’s completely new for all players this time around.
To start Joy’s questline for the Deep Dark Secret Goose, you must first finish all Memory Mania event quests from 2024 and 2025. All of the missions featured in this event are as follows.
You also need to unlock Joy and have her in your valley to obtain this creature. The quest series you have to tackle is tied to her, so the only way to get started on it is by chatting with Joy.
The Deep Dark Secret Goose is a grand prize you obtain for finishing a total of four quests for Joy. 24 hours must pass between each of these quests before the next one is unlocked and available to tackle, so to get them all done, it’ll take around four full days.
