Bethesda recently released an update for The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered for the Switch 2, adding in a bunch of fixes for numerous crashes and other weird little glitches.
The problem, however, is that the update seems to have made the visuals noticeably worse. Reports starting trickling in on Reddit, with users stating that the game is now blurrier whether you're playing docked or handheld.
One specific comparison shot showcases the game's overworld, and while the user has struggled to match the time of day and lighting, it's clear that the image on the right shows diminished visual quality post-patch. Speculation online is leaning toward some sort of DLSS issue, which would make sense but is not definitively confirmed.
We've redownloaded the game ourselves to see how it all looks. While the difference is fairly subtle, we'd have to agree that the overall image quality has taken a downward turn. It all just looks a bit softer and lacking in detail. Worse yet, the sketchy performance hasn't been improved either, so we've got an experience that still stutters just like before, but it now looks worse.

Hopefully Bethesda will see fit to issue another update to fix it soon. For the time, it's acknowledged the issue with the following statement:
We are receiving reports that some players on Nintendo Switch 2 are experiencing increased image blurring, ghosting, and reduced visual quality in The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered after installing Update 1.1. We are currently investigating this issue and will update this article when we have more information. Affected players report symptoms that may include:
-Increased ghosting or image trails when moving the camera or character.
- Blurry or lower-quality visuals compared to previous versions.
- Reduced image sharpness and detail.
- Visual flickering or instability in some scenes.
