Over the past few weeks, we've been subtly noticing this game called The Missing Tail getting a ton of trends online, and it turns out the "cozy co-op adventure" title has been racking up millions of views following its announcement.
The trailer you see above has over 200,000 views alone, and many people have been excitedly reacting to the idea of a cozy cat game that adopts the Split Fiction formula of combining both split-screen and single-screen gameplay.
Most of the attention has come from a TikTok channel called SharedXP, however, which has a video on The Missing Tail that's amassed 2.7 million views and 310,000 likes at the time of writing.
Something you should keep in mind, however, is that the developer isn't going to have anywhere near the budget of a Split Fiction or It Takes Two for this game. The studio (Estoty) has typically worked on mobile games in the past, and their existing Xbox titles are small indies.
That doesn't mean The Missing Tail couldn't be a great game though, and the trailer is certainly very intriguing at first glance - it's clearly done enough to entice literally millions of people over the past couple of weeks.
The Missing Tail doesn't have a release date at the moment, but has definitely been confirmed for Xbox and PlayStation as "coming soon". We'll be keeping an eye on it, and here's hoping the final product lives up to the immense hype!
