The Witcher 3: Every Alternative Look, Ranked From Worst To Best

Whether you're reading the original books or playing CD Projekt Red's games, The Witcher is firmly established as one of the most popular fantasy franchises of the current century. A big part of the series' appeal is its characters, and The Witcher 3 taps into that love by letting players choose alternative looks for Geralt, Triss, Yennefer, Ciri, and even Dandelion.

A great thing about The Witcher 3 is that players can get into the game and find something new to experience in this title, especially if they jump from the 2015 release to the Next-Gen upgraded version. The DLCs for The Witcher 3 are also extremely high quality and add a ton of hours to the game's already extensive runtime. These Witcher 3 alternative appearances may seem rather simple, but they go a long way in adding to the replayability of this game in the eyes of many.

It's currently a good time to be a Witcher fan.

Obviously, The Witcher 4 is in development, and the upcoming RPG will presumably launch a new post-Geralt era that seems to feature Ciri as the main character (but we don't know much about the game yet). In a completely surprising move, CD Projekt Red announced that "Songs of the Past", an expansion for The Witcher 3, is coming in 2027, with reports suggesting the addition of a new area, combat style, and maybe 20+ hours of content. Heck, Andrzej Sapkowski is even working on a new Witcher book!

While the expansion seems likely to add a few new outfits, you don't have to wait until next year to find a reason to jump back into The Witcher 3; on September 29, CD Projekt Red releases a free remaster that adds an absurd amount of content, considering we are talking about an ancient game. This patch seems designed to set the base content up for the impending expansion, but it might warrant a replay of the campaign anyway.
