Wooden Planks are one of those materials you will constantly need in the early game of Graveyard Keeper 2. They are required for many different crafting recipes, workbenches, repairs, and quests. The problem is that you can’t simply pick them up or buy them. Here’s how to get Wooden Planks in Graveyard Keeper 2.
You will first need to unlock the Wooden Planks recipe, since it’s not available at the start. To do this, unlock the Woodworking I technology in the Tech Tree. It costs Tech Points, which you can earn from activities like chopping trees and crafting. Once you unlock it, you will get access to the Wooden Planks recipe and the Woodworking Workbench I. Build the workbench using the Build Desk in your yard. This is where you’ll craft the Wooden Planks.
Each Wooden Plank requires one Board. However, you’ll need to process Logs into Boards first.
To get Logs, you can chop down trees in the world and carry the Logs back to your yard. You can place them in the Timber Stockpile, then use the Sawhorse to turn them into Boards. Each Log gives you four Boards.
Once you have some Boards in your inventory, go to the Woodworking Workbench and select the Wooden Plank recipe. Click ‘Craft,’ and the plank will be ready in just a few seconds. Each Board gives you one Wooden Plank, which means one Log can ultimately give you four Wooden Planks.
You will be using Wooden Planks for a lot of things in Graveyard Keeper 2. Keepers need five of them for Jack’s boat quest. They are also used to make Wooden Fences for graves, which improve a grave’s quality and can help improve your overall graveyard rating.
Many recipes, like the Potter’s Wheel, Oiled Planks, Wooden Kits, and the Kitchen Table, also require them. There’s also a broken Vineyard Bridge near your house that you can repair using four Wooden Planks and some other materials.
