When players reach Novice Level 50 in Essence Extraction in Aion 2, they’ll unlock the quest [Upgrade] Essence Extraction Specialty Skill. The main objective of this mission is to find the Splendent Ruby and show it to the local Essence Extraction expert in order to upgrade to Professional Essence Extractor.
Splendent Ruby can be obtained by extracting essence from Ruby deposits in Aion 2. However, since the leveling map is different for Elyos and Asmodian faction players, the location of Ruby deposits is different as well.
In Verteron (Elyos map), you can find Ruby deposits along the outer edges of the Verteron Fortress Ruins’ boundary wall. The Verteron Fortress Ruins are found southeast of the Dawn Legion Base, your starting location in the region.
To get a Splendent Ruby, all you have to do is keep extracting essence from Rubies using the normal method. Eventually, you’ll automatically extract Splendent Ruby (Bound), which you can then take back to Korius to hand in the quest.
Although this is a relatively high-level area and some of the Rubies spawn right in the middle of hostile mobs, you can easily avoid combat and focus on essence extractions by judiciously using the Fly skill and avoiding entering the enemies’ aggro range.
