Masashi Kishimoto's Naruto universe has seen the introduction of various kinds of jutsu, but it goes without saying that among the most exciting ones is Teleportation Ninjutsu. This Teleportation Ninjutsu was prominent among quite a few exciting characters, such as Tobirama Senju, who became the Second Hokage of Konoha, and the likes of Shisui Uchiha, along with others like the Fourth Hokage, Minato Namikaze.
In the Boruto series, Teleportation Ninjutsu has played an extremely important role, especially when it comes to the protagonist of the series, Boruto Uzumaki. In Two Blue Vortex, Boruto's progression as a ninja has seen him master the arts of teleportation ninjutsu, and he is well on his way to becoming the official god of this technique. He has already mastered the Flying Thunder God to a certain degree and is expanding upon its applications far beyond what we have seen in the story before.
In the original Boruto series, the protagonist, Boruto Uzumaki, was confirmed to be a genius, but at the time, he didn't have access to teleportation ninjutsu. In Boruto: Two Blue Vortex, which saw him return to Konoha after 3 years of training, Boruto Uzumaki had ascended to a completely new level of strength. In Boruto: Two Blue Vortex Chapter 4, which was released on November 19, 2023, in Weekly Shonen Jump Issue 1, Boruto Uzumaki first made use of the Flying Thunder God Jutsu, shocking all the fans in the process. This technique allowed him to teleport to the place where the Ten-Tails was stored, and it is where we first met the Shinju, the main villain group in the Two Blue Vortex series at the time.

Initially, fans assumed that Boruto's Flying Thunder God usage was the same as that of Minato. However, in the very same chapter, he made it clear that he was not as good with it as his grandfather. Then, in Boruto: Two Blue Vortex Chapter 16, released officially on November 19, 2024, Boruto Uzumaki and Kashin Koji explained the difference between the two versions of the Flying Thunder God. Technically, Boruto's version of Flying Thunder God is a completely different technique from what Minato and Tobirama used. Instead of using a seal and then teleporting to it instantaneously, Boruto Uzumaki has to infuse his own chakra into certain metal shapes. These shapes can then be visualized by him, and his own chakra can be sensed over vast distances, which then allows him to warp instantaneously to the set location. This sensing takes quite some time, which makes his technique far less efficient.
