With each passing day, the release date of Black Clover Season 2 edges closer. It was recently announced to us that Black Clover Season 2 will premiere globally on October 3, 2026, with the season consisting of a total of 24 episodes. The latest issue of Shueisha's Weekly Shonen Jump, that is, the Double Issue #42-43, which was released in Japan on September 13, 2026, has now provided additional information for Black Clover Season 2.
Given that Black Clover used to run in Weekly Shonen Jump at one point, it makes sense for more promotional information to come out of this magazine. Finally, not only do we have a brand-new release ahead of Black Clover Season 2, but the airtime, along with more promotional material, has also been confirmed to us.
Black Clover Season 2 begins its run on October 3, 2026, and the episode will air in Japan at 11 PM. This means that about an hour later, it will be available for all global audiences to stream online. Before fans can get into Black Clover Season 2 Episode 1, there is a lot of additional content that they might need a refresher on. For those who do not remember, the original Black Clover anime, which ran weekly, aired its last episode, that is, Black Clover Episode 170, on March 30, 2021, which is about 5 years ago now. Over a period of 5 years, quite a lot of fans might have forgotten key details from the story written by Yuki Tabata. To that end, Studio Pierrot is going to do a recap of Season 1. In this particular recap, they will revisit the anime's key moments to give the fans a proper refresher before the actual premiere of Season 2. It has been officially confirmed in Shueisha's Weekly Shonen Jump Double Issue #42-43 that Black Clover is releasing new illustrations of Asta and Yuno, which will go on sale in October 2026. Whether these illustrations are from the anime or the manga remains unclear, but given that it is in celebration of the anime's return, they are highly likely to be from the anime and not from the manga. A preview for these illustrations will likely be provided in Weekly Shonen Jump's upcoming few Issues.
